Veteran Bollywood star, Dharmendra, and Dream Girl of Bollywood, Hema Malini, have been married for 45 years. The couple got married in 1980. It is said that to marry Hema Malini, Dharmendra did not divorce his first wife, Prakash Kaur, and converted to Islam and married Hema. Therefore, the Deol family and Hema Malini’s children have a special bond. The Deol family once again came into the limelight when Dharmendra’s first wife, Prakash Kaur, said in a statement that any man would have preferred Hema Malini to her. In the same biography, Hema revealed that even after so many years of marriage, she had never visited her husband’s original home, even though his bungalow was located just a short distance from hers.
However, the actress did reveal that her eldest daughter, Esha Deol, had visited the house. This was when Dharmendra’s brother Ajit’s health deteriorated. It was her first visit in 30 years. It was also her first meeting with Prakash Kaur. “Esha touched her feet. She blessed her, and she left.”
