A source said, “That’s why they took so long to announce her joining the project. She was not willing to compromise on her fee, and why should she? Why should only heroes get double-digit salaries in our films?”

This is not the first time the actress has charged a huge fee. Reports claim that she took Rs 41 crore for her Amazon Prime series Citadel.

Before Priyanka, it was Deepika Padukone who was one of the highest-paid Indian actresses, thanks to her Rs 20 crore fee for the film Kalki 2898 AD. Priyanka has given tough competition to Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, and many other actresses in the industry.

Priyanka married singer Nick Jonas, moved to Los Angeles, and has a net worth of Rs 650 crore.
