Telugu star Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday in connection with a devastating stampede that occurred during the premiere of his latest blockbuster Pushpa 2. The tragic incident, which took place on December 4 at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, claimed the life of a 39-year-old woman and left her younger son in fatal condition.

Hyderabad police took Arjun into the custody at his residence amid heightened security. Videos taken by those resurfaced on Twitter. They also showed Allu Arjun’s wife, Sneha Reddy looking extremely sad when his husband was taken in custody. After spending a day in jail, Allu Arjun was released on Saturday. The actor was granted interim bail by Telangana High Court on a personal bond of Rs 50,000.
