According to Forbes, Sofia Vergara is the world’s highest-paid actress this year. She has earned $43 million in a period of one year, which is equivalent to Rs 315 crore.

No Indian actress could make it to top 10 list

The top 10 highest-earning actresses this year include Angelina Jolie ($35.5 million), Gal Gadot ($31 million), Melissa McCarthy ($25 million), Meryl Streep ($24 million), Emily Blunt ($22.5 million), Nicole Kidman ($22 million), Ellen Pompeo ($19 million), Elisabeth Moss ($16 million) and Viola Davis ($15.5 million).

According to Forbes, Vergara’s earnings came mostly from the shows ‘Modern Family’ and ‘America’s Got Talent’. This income also includes her endorsement deals. She earned $500,000 from each episode of this show, while she earned $10 million from each season of ‘America’s Got Talent’. On the other hand, Jolie has received most of her earnings ($35.5 million) from Marvel’s film ‘The Eternals’.
