In an old conversation with Stardust, Govinda talked about his affection for the beautiful Divya Bharti while he was married to Sunita. The actor then revealed that he was attracted to Divya. Very few people know that it was Govinda who introduced Divya Bharti to renowned producer Sajid Nadiadwala. Divya and Sajid first met each other when Divya was working with Govinda in the film Shola Aur Shabnam. Sajid, who was working with Govinda in the film Zulm Ki Hukumat, went to meet Govinda. He then introduced Sajid to Divya and both fell in love at first sight as he was impressed by Divya’s beauty. Both became friends, later they realized that they had feelings for each other. Soon they got married in a private ceremony on May 10, 1992.
