As per fresh reports in Deccan Chronicle, the Union Information and Broadcasting ministry have sought the help of the Human Resource Development ministry to list down eminent historians, who will be part of a censor board panel to review Padmavati. It was the Central Board of Film Certification that requested the I&B ministry to provide them with historians who can help verify the film’s content for its facts, and so the Smriti Irani-led I&B ministry wrote a letter to the HRD ministry regarding the same. The sources at the leading daily also suggest that the names of the people in the panel will be finalised soon and CBFC will be evaluating the film along with them.
