Kochi: Malayalam superstar Mohanlal stole the show at a recent Kochi award ceremony with his high-energy dance performance to hit songs by Shah Rukh Khan and Rajinikanth. On X/ Twitter Shah Rukh Khan expressed his delight, writing, “Thank you Mohanlal sir for making this song even more special for me! Wish I could’ve done it half as well as you. Love you sir, and always welcome for dinner at my place. You’re the original Zinda Banda! (sic).” Mohanlal has since responded to Shah Rukh Khan’s comments, but the details of his reply haven’t been made public yet.

Mohanlal stole the show at the Vanitha Film Awards 2024 with a special dance performance. Clad in a cheetah-print shirt and brown leather pants, his outfit channeled the retro vibe of his recent film, “Jailer.” The energetic performance included the hit song “Zinda Banda,” composed by Anirudh Ravichander with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The respect between Mohanlal and Shah Rukh Khan is mutual. Last year, for SRK’s birthday, Mohanlal publicly wished him well on social media, saying something like “Happy Birthday to Shah Rukh Khan! Wishing you all the best in health, happiness, and success (sic).”
