Woah! As expected, MTV Splitsvilla X is back with a bang. The show, that is hosted by the hotties Rannvijay Singha and Sunny Leone, was premiered tonight and saw 20 youngsters who have made their entry to seek love in the dating reality show. Ever since Season 9 was over, we have been awaiting Season 10 and finally, the day has come and it totally did justice to our expectations. Of course, the show started, panning the camera to our favourite hottie Rannvijay Singh, who introduces us to the 10 contestants (girls). The girls, as soon as they entered Jim Corbett National Park (in Uttarakhand) start to clap and hoot seeing the blocks arranged on the sand, which reads SPLITSVILLA.
After a little warm up session, Rannvijay brings in the most charming beauty of MTV Splitsvilla. I think, the show, indeed, is all about her – Sunny Leone, who makes her entry into the show. The entry of Sunny Leone was as sexy as her.
Before you understand the theme of the show, here’s the list of contestants who will be participating in Splitsvilla X. This season will feature Roadies Rising’s Baseer Ali and Priyank Sharma, and actor Siddharth Sharma (Big F and Class of 2017) as contestants, who will be competing for love. Besides them, Australian born Indian model Alisha Farrer, who was seen in Bollywood film Love Games, will also be participating in Splitsvilla. The other contestants are Khushboo Mukherjee, Anmol Chaudhary, Akash Choudhary, Ans*** Sharma, Akshata Sonawane, Steffi Margaret Cyrill, Divya Agarwal, Archit Bhatia, Hritu Zee, Ripu Daman Singh, Esha Chowdhary, Nachiket, Mohit Hiranandani, Nibedita, Haneet Sing Narang, Naina Singh and Aquib. Now, coming to the theme of Splitsvilla X – ‘Catch Your Match’. While you’re wondering what’s it all about, let me tell you, this season is about experimenting and testing whether science can really find you love or it’s just the heart that finds it. Since the girls are all in and are aware of the concept (of the show), it was time to bring in the guys. But before bringing them in, the girls were asked to judge each guy in seven seconds as they (boys) would make an appearance for seven seconds. The girls were provided with a system where they could right or left swipe the boys (just like tinder).
The girls were allowed to swipe right only thrice which means they can like or select only three guys. While some girls selected three, two and one, one contestant did not right swipe anyone. While the girls think they have the upper hand over the boys, Rannvijay surprises them by telling them that the ones whom they have right swiped will go on a date with them and they will select one girl whom they connected well with. While the girls were scared and excited at the same time, the one contestant who did not swipe right for any guys was disappointed as she did not have a chance at escaping the danger zone.
While season 10 has seven girls and seven boys, who are scientifically perfect matches for each other, there will be three such girls and boys, who aren’t a perfect match. They will try to discover true love amid the stunning surroundings of Jim Corbett. It would be interesting to watch who lands up with whom. We can now find out if it’s science or heart that wins or is it the plotting and survival strategies that win.
With this, we come to the end of episode one but don’t forget to come back next week to watch the second episode of MTV Splitsvilla. As we saw in the upcoming episode, misunderstandings and fights have already paved its way into the show, it would be interesting to find out what has caused them. Also, Rannvijay will be the advisor to the girls, while Queen of hearts Sunny will mentor the guys, guiding them on how to woo the beauties out there.
