Siblings always seem to have a sense of rivalry but that rivalry can also spark an epic chemistry to soothe millions of music lovers.

Although siblings who grow up together are bound to have rivalry with each other but there are a few musical siblings who have grown up in musical families and have given us phenomenal harmonies. Other than carrying forward the legacy of their family, it’s the fun part of jamming within the comfort of their siblings and a blend of rivalry with harmony that works with these artists.

Just like the talented sisters Asha Bhosle and Lata Mangeshkar landed up being the ‘Melody queen’ and the other the ‘Nightingale of India’ or be it the legacy of the Burmans or the late Mukesh and Nitin Mukesh to Kishore Kumar and Amit Kumar and Sumit Kumar. They have all hit the recording studios one generation after the other, there are even more artists who follow the same pattern.

1.      Michael and Janet Jackson

Who would not know the King of Pop? No one would surely forget the late MJ’s collaboration with his sister Janet to come up with the song, ‘Scream.’ It was one of the most remarkable videos made by the two.

2.      Kings of Leon

This band has relished the number one spot in various music charts since the time when they were officially introduced as a professional group. Three of them are brothers from Nashville (Cameron, Ivan and Anthony) while the other one is Michael, their cousin.

3.      Bee Gees

The Bee Gees, brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb had launched themselves in the 70s, They have allured us with their pop appeal, and with  close high harmonies that have carried their success past the disco phase.

4. Angus and Julia Stone

Angus & Julia Stone are an Australian brother-sister folk-blues group which formed in 2006.Their distinct vocal styles is very enticing. Their songs have been used in many sitcoms like Grey’s Anatomy, One Tree Hill and 90210.

4.      The Secret Sisters

The Secret Sisters are an American traditional country music duo. The vocalists Laura and Lydia Rogers The sisters along with their production team utilise vintage microphones and classic recording techniques.

5.      The Jonas Brothers

They are the American pop rock band formed in 2005.They gained their popularity through Disney channel. The brothers Nick, Kevin and Joe considered naming their group ‘Sons of Jonas’ before settling on the name ‘Jonas Brothers’

6.      Tegan and Sara

Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Keirsten Quin, openly gay are twin sisters. The duo formed a Canadian indie rock band in 1995.Both of them play the guitar and keyboards and also write their songs.
