After donating Rs 25 crore to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund, actor Akshay Kumar has stepped ahead to take up another initiative in an attempt to send out a message of positivity and hope among the people of the country. Akshay has teamed up with producer and actor Jackky Bhagnani and other Bollywood actors to present a song titled Muskurayega India that motivates the people of the country to fight the coronavirus together and wait for everything to go back to normal. The news was reported by Mid-Day that also quoted the actor saying he wanted to do something to bring a sense of collective faith among all in these tough times. Akshay said the song will tell people to stay calm and have a united stand against the pandemic. He also later took to Twitter to release a poster of the song which is going to be out at 6 pm. Muskurayega India is composed and sung by Vishal Mishra while many A-listers from Bollywood are a part of it. Actors like Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Ananya Panday, Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, Bhumi Pednekar, Kartik Aaryan and Rajkummar Rao have recorded videos from their own residence where they are currently under self-isolation with their respective family members.

The video is a compilation of all these small videos sent by the popular stars of Bollywood. Jackky Bhagnani, who has produced the music video, talked to the daily and revealed that the proceedings from this video will be donated to the Central and the State government’s funds to fight COVID-19. “Akshay sir and I felt the only thing that helps, in times of uncertainty, is hope. The proceeds from this song will go towards supporting the central and state governments’ efforts in fighting the virus,” he said.
