Veteran actress Reema Lagoo, who returned to the small screen with Mahesh Bhatt’s Naamkarann playing the role of Dayawanti Mehta, passed away last month at the age of 59 after reportedly suffering from cardiac arrest. As per the reports, the actress was shooting for the show and left for home after wrapping up her day’s schedule.

However, the actress complained of chest pain and was rushed to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai where she took her last breath. This tragic death had come as a shock to the television and film fraternity.

No doubt, the star cast of the show Naamkarann misses the talented actress’ presence on the sets. As it was Reema Lagoo’s birthday yesterday (June 21), we saw the veteran actress’ co-star Sayantani Ghosh take to social media to wish her ‘Happy Birthday’.

Sayantani shared a picture of her posing with Reema Lagoo, Mahesh Bhatt and Barkha Bisht on her Instagram account. We also saw many TV celebrities had mourned the death of the veteran actress. Actress Divyanka Tripathi paid her tribute to Reema Lagoo on Twitter, she wrote, “#RIP Reema Lagoo ji. Big loss to the industry!” Also, Nach Baliye 8 host and actor Karan Tacker took to Twitter and wrote, “Such a pivotal part of the films I grew up to… truly sad.. RIP #ReemaLagoo ji.”

TV actor Zain Imam, who was also her co-star in Naamkarann wrote, “Nobody can match the zeal and enthusiasm you had ma’am. U will be missed RIP #Reemalagoo. Was indeed a pleasure working with you in Naamkarann.”

Truly, some voids can never be filled! Reema Lagoo will be remembered and missed for a long long time.
