Although initially Karan Johar refused to give the rights of 2 States, but has not finally given in to Abhishek Nama when he approached Johar after shelling out a huge amount of Rs 55 lakh for the rights of 2 States. If you are wondering who will be starring in this remake of the movie based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel by the same name, its none other than the real life couple Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya! Yes, as per the reports the most loved couple of Tollywood Naga Chaitanya and Samantha will be coming together for the Telugu remake of 2 States. In the Telugu remake of 2 States, Naga Chaitanya would be seen playing the role of a Telugu Guy and Samantha that of a Malayali girl. Although the two have not been yet confirmed for the remake, but the makers will try to rope them in also considering their real life situation to make it even more interesting on the big screen. The Bollywood romantic comedy-drama movie 2 States starring Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor was based on a popular novel by Chetan Bhagat and revolved around the story of a Punjabi guy falling for a Tamilian girl. The plot of 2 States revolved around how the two go on about with their relationship and the difficulties they face in getting hitched due to their cultural differences. The movie produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala became a hit at the box office. We just cannot wait to see how different the Telugu version of 2 States look like! Earlier in this year Samantha had confessed about how difficult it is in the South Indian film industry for her to receive some good roles. She said, “Realising just how hard it is to get a meaningful role for a heroine in the south. I haven’t signed as many films as I’d like to because there are no good roles. As disheartening as it is to say.”

Samantha would be soon tying the knot with the son of Naga Chaitanya, the two have been dating each other for a while now and Naga Chaitanya confirmed about the wedding recently by saying, “Marriage should happen next year. My father will announce the date once it’s finalised. At the moment, I can’t divulge more information.”

Naga Chaitanya will soon be seen in the Telugu remake f the Malayalam blockbuster movie Premam opposite Shruti Haasan. The original movie featured Malayalam star Nivin Pauly, Sai Pallavi, Anupama Parmeshawaran and Madonna Sebastian. In the Telugu version, Sai Pallavi has been replaced by Shruti Haasan, Nivin By Naga Chaitanya, the rest of the star cast remains the same. The Telugu remake of Premam will release in theaters on October 7, 2016.
