Last Friday, Aamir Khan starrer Dangal released and that created tremendous buzz. The movie is already a blockbuster and the reason is not Aamir Khan! The most important reason for it’s success is how the movie highlights women empowerment! Now where on one side makers are trying hard to impose upon audience the dignity and rights women should have, on the other side this popular South Indian film director has stooped down his level with his derogatory comments about women! ‘Kaththi Sandai’ maker, Suraaj, recently expressed his most disgraceful opinion in an interview which invited all the tongue lashing by the fans and even the stars in the industry!

While giving an interview to a private youtube channel, Suraaj went on with his rant about the heroines of the films. As reported in Indiatoday, He out-rightly said that heroines should work in glamorous roles as that is what they get paid for! He also went to an extent to say that heroines are supposed to ‘satisfy’ the B and C centres by donning short clothes in their films!

Now that was something no one could ever dare to say even off record, forget saying it on record! But Suraaj was immoral enough to say this just like that without thinking for once! Now this has obviously not gone well with the industry people. South actresses Nayanthara and Tamannaah were one of the first actresses to slam Suraaj for his unethical and unreasonable opinion!

As quoted by Sify, Nayanthara said, ” How can a responsible person from film industry make such a crass and cheap comment? Who is Suraj to say such a derogatory statement against heroines? Does he think that heroines are strippers who will come and shed their clothes just because they are paid money? Will he dare to speak such things about working women in his family?” Of course, her anger is all justified and a must! Being a popular actress of the same industry it was important for someone like her to speak up against the issue.

Also the ‘Baahubali’ actress Tamannaah was taken aback with her once-worked director’s comments. She posted a post on her Twitter account about the issue. She also demanded an apology for herself and all the actresses in the industry from Suraaj for such inexcusable comments. She also felt sad that women are still looked upon by some individuals in this manner. She made a point to tell her audience that they should not generalize the entire industry because of one such individual!

Well, we are shocked that a person who has been making films since so many years has made such comments. We wonder now that which heroine would like to work with him from now onward and will it be the same for them? What a shame!
