Los Angeles, Jul 6: Director James Gunn has revealed that Nebula, an alien supervillain, will be a big character in the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2”. Karen Gillan is set to reprise the role of Nebula in the highly anticipated sequel to the 2014 critical and commercial hit. (ALSO READ: James Gunn unhappy with ‘Spotlight’ win at Oscars)

“Nebula is a huge character in @GotGVol2. @karengillan has her makeup applied every day of her many days on set,” Gunn said. He has also adapted Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning’s comic book into a screenplay. Karen Gillan is not the only familiar face on the cast list as Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Glenn Close, and Michael Rooker will be back as Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, Groot, Nova Prime, and Yondu. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2” will hit the theaters on April 28, 2017.
