What makes the lead different in the movie is the fact that Sonam is not playing the obvious heroic character. Neerja is constructed as an ordinary woman in extra ordinary situations and how she deals with them bravely. The truth is everyone was afraid of Sonam Kapoor’s performance in the movie just like the film critic, but this time she proved that she is not in the industry just for her impeccable taste in clothes. Neerja is a truly inspiring movie that will grip you from the first frame till the last. She advises viewers to take a few hankies along, since the movie is a genuine weeper.
