After Vivegam, there were reports that Thala Ajith and director Siva will join hands once again for their fourth film together after Veeram, Vedalam and Vivegam. And as expected, the ace actor-director are again collaborating for Viswasam. The official announcement came from the producers Sathya Jyothi films in November 2017 when they took to social media and declared, “Glad and Proud to announce our next film with Mr. AjithKumar direction by @directorsiva titled is #Viswasam.” The film is slotted for a Deepavali 2018 release and was supposed to go on floors from January 2018 but we hear that the crew will now get on the sets from March. However, amid all this, the makers had been tight lipped about any other detail regarding the film, leaving fans waiting with bated breath to know which actress makes the cut to be Thala’s leading lady. There were rumours that Anushka Shetty might be roped in since she was the first choice and according to reports the makers were also in talks with the actress. However, later word around town suggested that the Bhaagamathie actress will not be romancing Ajith and instead, Shraddha Srinath has been roped in. While fans were wondering if she will be playing the female lead or another pivotal role, the makers have announced a news that all had been waiting for. Satya Jyothi Films today announced that ‘lady superstar’ Nayantara will be Ajith’s heroine for Viswasam. Ever since the announcement, fans have been in frenzy to see this jodi on the big screen after five years. Ajith and Nayanthara have earlier regaled fans as an onscreen couple in films like Billa (2007), Aegan (2008) and Arrambam (2013). Viswasam will be set in the backdrop of north Chennai with Ajith playing a police officer.
As far as the music is concerned, rumours have been abuzz with either one amongst Yuvan Shankar Raja, Anirudh Ravichander, or Sam CS being roped in to score music for the project.
