Nepotism Debate: Sanjay Dutt Admits His Family Lineage Helped Him Get Into Bollywood

Sanjay Dutt is one of the popular actors in the industry. Son of Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt, the 58-year-old star made his acting debut in the year 1981. The man who has huge number of fan followers across the country, has also had hits and flops. Be it the role of a charming man or a gangster, Sanjay Dutt has done it all and fans have loved his avatar. Like other actors in the industry, even Sanjay has expressed his views on the nepotism debate, which is the hot topic of tinsel town. In an interview to a leading portal, Sanjay admitted that it was because of his family lineage he could get into the industry.

When Sanjay Dutt was asked his take on nepotism the actor was quoted saying, “But, after the first film, it all depends on how you work and how many hits you give. It doesn’t matter whether you are (Sunil) Dutt’s son or (Amitabh) Bachchan’s,” reports Miss Kyra. He even mentioned, “I was sent to a boarding school for eleven years and I had a second class train pass to travel in Bombay. These things have helped me survive everything.”

Sanjay Dutt who is making a comeback with the film ‘Bhoomi’ directed by Omung Kumar has also expressed the kind of work he wishes to do. He said, “I want to work in the kind of films they make in Hollywood and not romance girls much younger than me. ‘Bhoomi’ also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharad Kelkar and Sidhant Gupta in key roles.  The film is all set to hit the silver screens on September 22. Stay tuned to India.com for more updates.
