Heartbreaking news for all Sanaya Irani and Harshad Chopra’s fans. Recently, we informed you guys that actress Sanaya is all set to make her comeback on small screen with her show – ‘Meenu Mausi’. Fans were quite excited with this news, but now it seems as if fans will be disappointed with this piece of sad news.
According to the reports of leading entertainment portal Tellychakkar.com, Star Plus’s upcoming project ‘Meenu Mausi’ has been scrapped. isn’t this news shocking? Well, Sanaya and Harshad were suppose to make comeback on Tv with this project. We heard that the show was based on bollywood film Aamir Khan-Juhi Chawla starrer Hum Hain Raahi Pyar Ke, 1993.
As per the source of Tellychakkar.com., “The show was taking too long to go on floors and the channel was getting quite flabbergasted. Although the team had shot the pilot recently but the channel did not quite approve of the casting leading to the makers withdrawing the show. As of now, Meenu Mausi has been shelved for an indefinite period, lets see if the makers and channel decide on reviving it.”
The makers of the show roped in actor Hiten Tejwani and Chhavi Mittal in the show. They would have three kids and after their sudden death, Sanaya would play the role of Massi. She would take care of them, but now audiences will not be able to see this upcoming project. The team of Meena Mausi includes Hiten Tejwani, Chhavi Mittal, Sparsh Khanchandani, Avneet Kaur and Uzair Basar. And we heard that the cast of the show already shot for the pilot episode. Meenu Mausi had a usual story line and plot which was based on unmarried girl Meenu (played by Sanaya) who dedicates her entire life for the upbringing of her sister’s children. Sanaya got married to Mohit Sehgal in January and was last seen in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon show.
