The Oscars 2019 was a night to remember because it had many firsts to offer to The Academy. The 91st Oscar Awards began with a stunning lineup of celebrities at the red carpet. Roma and The Favourite bagged the maximum number of nominations at the Oscars this year, followed by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star is Born. For every award that Black Panther won, The Academy got widely appreciated on social media considering it was the first superhero film to have been nominated for the first time in the history of Oscars. Green Book bagged the Best Picture award while The Favourite‘s Olivia Colman received her first ever Oscar for Best Actress. Alfonso Cuaron, as expected, won the Best Director award for Roma while Shallow from A Star Is Born won the Original Song.
