No host for Oscars 2020:
The Academy has decided to run the program without any host this year as well. As mentioned in an article published in the US Today, the Academy decided to go hostless for the second year in a row because their focus is on presenting an ‘entertaining show’ and ‘not’ on having an entertaining host. After Kevin Hart refused to apologise for his homophobic ‘joke’ while hosting the ceremony in the year 2018, the organisers steered away from roping-in any face as the host in its conventional sense. The ceremony is going to be hosted in segments by various stars who are attending the event. Also Read - Oscars Predictions 2020: From '1917' to 'Parasite', Here Are The Expected Winners

Oscars’ so sexist:
As soon as the nominations were announced, the Academy was criticised for not nominating any female director in the Best Director category, thereby, snubbing the fabulous contribution of women like Lulu Wang (The Farewell), Greta Gerwig (Little Women), Marielle Heller (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood), Lorene Scafaria (Hustlers) and Alma Har’el (Honey Boy) were all notably left out.
