Deepika Padukone threw a star-studded party on Saturday evening, at her Prabhadevi residence, to celebrate the trailer success of her upcoming period drama titled Padmavati, helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Padmavati has received tremendous response from the audience and the critics. The trailer, which released about a month ago, has got over 50 million views. The actress had also taken to Twitter to share her excitement and wrote, “50 million+ views for #PadmavatiTrailer !!! we can’t thank you’ll enough for the love!!”
A host of celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, Karan Johar, Sidharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Manish Malhotra, Jhanvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khattar, Sara Ali Khan among others, were present at the bash. Two other celebrities, who were also a part of the bash, were Ranbir Kapoor’s cousins Aadar Jain and Armaan Jain. Deepika, Armaan and Aadar were snapped at the party. Aadar took to his Instagram handle to share a blurry picture, where Aadar is seen kissing Deepika on her cheek while Armaan is posing for the camera. Speaking of the bash, a source close to Deepika, in a statement to Pinkvilla, said, “Deepika is in a celebratory mood. She is extremely happy to share this moment with everyone who is close to her. Wherever she has been going off late, be it events or other gatherings, people cannot stop raving about her beauty, grace and talent.” Besides Deepika, Padmavati also stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles. The magnum opus is slated to release on December 1, 2017.
