Following the postponement of Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana’s wedding, twists and turns are constantly emerging. Smriti Mandhana’s father suffered a heart attack, raising many questions. Palash’s health also deteriorated shortly thereafter, leading to his hospitalization. Meanwhile, Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, revealed that her son had already made the decision to postpone the wedding before Smriti Mandhana. Speaking to Hindustan Times, she said that Palash is very close to Smriti’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, and shares a close bond with both children.

How was Palash’s relationship with Smriti’s father?

Amita said, “Palash is very emotionally attached to his uncle. When he fell ill, the first thing Palash said was that the wedding should not take place until his uncle was completely well. Smriti later agreed to this decision.” She further explained that Palash’s stress level suddenly increased after the Haldi ceremony. We did not let him go out. He cried a lot and his health deteriorated. He had to be kept in the hospital for four hours. There, he was put on an IV drip, an ECG, and several tests. The reports were fine, but the stress was very high.

Sister Palak also reached Mumbai

Amita also revealed that they have brought Palash to Mumbai so he can rest, and that his sister Palak is also returning from Sangli to join him. This statement comes at a time when Smriti Mandhana has deleted all social media posts related to her wedding, including engagement photos and the proposal video. Smriti and Palash were supposed to get married in a private ceremony in Sangli on November 23, but on the morning of the wedding, Shrinivas Mandhana experienced heart attack-like symptoms during breakfast and was rushed to the hospital.

Why was the wedding postponed?

The situation became more serious when Palash’s health deteriorated on November 24th and he too had to be hospitalised. According to doctors, Smriti’s father is still under observation and requires constant medical monitoring. The two families jointly decided not to proceed with the wedding until both of them were completely stable. Smriti, who is very close to her father, agreed to this decision.

Speculation rising on social media

After Smriti deleted all her wedding-related posts, various discussions have erupted online. Some are blaming it on evil eyes or superstitious comments, attributing it to sharing everything too quickly. Furthermore, some accounts are circulating screenshots claiming that Palash was privately chatting with a woman named Mary D’Costa. However, neither Smriti, Palash, nor their families have confirmed these claims. These rumors circulating on social media are merely speculation.
