Panchayat actor Durgesh Kumar recently revealed a significant life event. He purchased his first house in Mumbai. On Wednesday, the actor, who has never shied away from discussing his struggles, posted a picture of his new house keys on social media. The caption on the post read, “Aapna Ghar….. Mumbai main thanks. Babuji Harekrishna Choudhary Aashirwad k liye.”
Netizens swamped immense love and admiration for the actor. They dropped hearts and clap emojis in the comment section. Most of his fans used references from ‘Panchayat’ to congratulate the actor. One of the user wrote, “Dekh raha hai binod, Abe apena Gare le liya hai to Abe bula yenge bhi nahi…” Another user said, “Amma ji ko jo milna tha … issne le liya, dekh raha hai vinod… ye ghapla chal raha hai… Anyway on a serious note .. Congrats sir.”
After years of struggling in the metropolis, the Panchayat actor has finally purchased his residence in Mumbai. Actor Durgesh Kumar has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry. He starred in the 2014 movie Highway alongside Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda. The public responded favourably to Durgesh’s portrayal of Bhushan Kumar, also known as Banrakas, in the online series Panchayat.
Durgesh is a gifted actor and a National School of Drama graduate. After NSD, he made his acting debut in the 2014 film ‘Highway,’ which was directed by Imtiaz Ali. He then starred in films like Sultan, Freaky Ali, Bahen Hogi Teri, Sanju, Dhadak, and Bombairiya. His most recent motion picture role was in Kiran Rao’s ‘Laapataa Ladies.’
Recalling his difficult times, Durgesh Kumar disclosed that he had experienced depression twice in 11 years. He also discussed how, following Panchayat, he is receiving more offers. “You need to be prepared psychologically, physically, mentally, emotionally and economically to be an actor. I have suffered depression twice in 11 years. Unless you are not psychologically, economically and mentally healthy, please don’t come in the acting field. I am being brutally honest about it (as quoted by NDTV), ” he said.
