Amidst all the emotional strings of heart that Hollywood popstar Nick Jonas‘s wedding tales and photographs, with Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, are plucking on social media, the cutest strum was an old school welcome of the bride into the Jonas family, by Papa Jonas.

Sharing a picture of Priyanka from her wedding day, Nick’s father, Paul Kevin Jonas, wrote an adorable note in the caption, “What an amazing experience! Congratulations Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra on your marriage. I love you both, Dad.” Now that’s the kind of warmth every bride looks out for from her groom’s family.

While the week has been full of buzz regarding this Bollywood-Hollywood merger, the fans suffered emotional pangs yesterday when the video and photographs of Nick, shedding a tear on Priyanka’s overwhelming arrival in white gown on the day of their Christian wedding, started streaming in. Nick’s father, who is also a former ordained minister at an Assemblies of God church, happened to officiate their wedding.

For the uninitiated, ministers are people who are officially allowed by the church to rightfully perform functions regarding teaching of beliefs that involve leading services like baptisms, weddings or funerals. It also includes providing spiritual guidance to the community.

The couple also had a Hindu wedding during the two day long lavish festivities spread over December 1 and 2 where they tied the knot. The groom’s side had the whole Jonas family – Nick’s parents, brothers Kevin and his wife Danielle, Joe and his fiancee Sophie Turner and Frankie Jonas, attending the wedding functions at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. From the bride’s side, Priyanka’s mother, cousins Parineeti and Mannara along with the Quantico star’s close friends and family members were present at the big fat wedding.

Last night, the couple hosted their reception in Delhi which was another gala affair and was even attended by PM Narendra Modi.
