Beyhadh actor, Piyush Sahdev, is probably going through the worst phase of his life. The actor was accused of rape and cheating by a 23-year-old fashion designer, with whom he was allegedly in a living in relationship post his separation from his wife, Akangsha Rawat. It was extremely unfortunate given, the case holds the power to potentially ruin his career, which was on a positive track following his successful comeback with shows like Devanshi and Beyhadh that had him essaying pivotal roles. However, seems like the New Year has brought relief into Piyush’s life as he has finally been granted bail by the Mumbai Court. In an interview with Bombay Times, Piyush opened up about the case. He said, “The case is sub judice and I will talk only with my lawyers’ consent. Nobody likes to be in jail; I have lost many days of my life. I just want to get back to work now.” None of his co-stars except Kushal Tandon, spoke in his defence, stating that no one had the right to character assassinate Piyush until he was proved guilty.  He further added, “I would like to thank all those who didn’t jump to conclusions and believed that the judicial system should decide who is wrong or right. The actor has been garnering a lot of attention post his separation with his wife. There was a buzz doing the rounds that he was dating a colleague from the creative team from a famous production house. However, he declined all the rumours stating that his wife and he separated due to longstanding compatibility issues. As of now, Piyush is allowed to travel anywhere for work but is expected to be present for the forthcoming hearings on the case.
