Priyanka Chopra will finally return to Bollywood after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani. The actress will join the cast and crew of Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat which stars Salman Khan, Disha Patani, Tabu and Sunil Grover in important roles. PC has shattered all stereotypes by proving herself in the West with her films and her TV series titled Quantico. The actress was recently in the news for being a part of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Royal Wedding in London. But it hasn’t been an easy ride for the actress over the years. Priyanka recently opened up to Hindustan Times about her early days in Bollywood. She said, “When I joined films, I was already winner of a beauty pageant and still had it a little easy. I got my first few films but I know that I was thrown out of the films because somebody else was recommended, who was somebody’s daughter. I didn’t know people, ki main dinners pe ja .rahi hun and networking kar rahi hun. I know that opportunities came to me because of merit. She further added saying, “When I entered Bollywood, everyone was somebody’s uncle or somebody’s daughter. It’s very difficult to get inside a production office if you are an actor from no [film] background. I know that it happened to me because I started like that.” This is precisely why the actress set up a production house where there is a level playing field for outsiders.
