Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas Wedding: Who All Will be Invited, Where And When Will The Marriage Take Place

Priyanka and Nick will reportedly wed on December 2 and will have two ceremonies.

The much awaited marriage of Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra to singer-actor Nick Jonas will reportedly take place on December 2, and the two have been busy not only with preparations for the big day but also holding their own bachelorette and bachelor parties. The two are also believed to have registered for their marriage license at the Beverly Hills Courthouse located in California, US and will be bringing it to India where they will tie the knot.

Much has been speculated about the guests the two will be inviting to their nuptials, but a source has put them to rest by revealing to DNA that the wedding will be a family affair with only family members from both the sides attending.

“Priyanka was sure that she wanted to get married somewhere in India. She, along with her mother Madhu Chopra, planned the entire itinerary for their guests. For the sangeet at the Mehrangarh Fort (on December 1) and the wedding (the next day) at the Umaid Bhawan Palace, PC has invited only her family members,” the source told DNA.

The source revealed that the reason only family members will be invited is because Priyanka feels it is what her late dad Ashok Chopra would have wanted.

“Priyanka has a huge extended family – her dad’s side being a big Punjabi one and her mom’s from Patna. PC has invited all her relatives to be part of her celebration because that’s how her dad would have wanted it. So, for the nuptials, the invites have been strictly restricted to family members, along with a few of her closest friends who may or may not be from the industry,” the source revealed.

Nick and his family on the other hand will be flying to Mumbai somewhere around November 27-28 and from there the entire wedding party will head off to Jodhpur the following day.

“After Nickyanka (as they are called by fans) tie the knot, they will come back to Mumbai with the family and throw a grand reception for their Bollywood friends and industry insiders. The families are currently planning the Mumbai reception and putting a date to it. The who’s who from the industry will be part of the celebrations. Their bash is expected to be a star-studded one,” the source said.

“Nick and PC will also throw a big party once they return to the US for their friends out there. They have also bought a new bungalow at Beverly Hills, so they might organise something at their new house, for their friends in Hollywood,” the source added.

Reports are that the couple will be holding two wedding ceremonies, a Hindu and a Christian ceremony. Another insider revealed that Priyanka has already decided what she will be wearing for the wedding.

“PC was sure that she will have a traditional wedding, somewhere in India. Along with that, she also clearly told her team to only look for Indian designers while finalising her outfit for the D-Day. While for her wedding, she has opted for an Abu-Sandeep creation, it needs to be seen what she wears at the Mumbai reception. But it will be an Indian designer for sure. She has not initiated talks with any international designers for her wedding trousseau,” the source revealed.

Another source, who is close to the couple, told The Sun, “Nick will wear ivory and Priyanka will be in red, while the bridesmaids will wear Ralph Lauren outfits for the Christian wedding because the couple wore the brand at their first public appearance together at the Met Gala last year. The festivities begin in the last week of November. They’re relishing every minute.”

Pinkvilla reported that Nick has also planned a 45-minute long special performance for his bride-to-be, Priyanka, and will be performing for her during the sangeet ceremony.

“Nick will be performing with his troupe at the sangeet. It is tentatively a 45 mins performance where he will be singing some love songs for PeeCee. The event organizers have already been told about this special act that will be a part of their sangeet,” Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying.
