Being an actor always has its pros and cons. While they get the love and appreciation of people, their lives are always like an open book for the audience to read. However, there are times when celebs keep things under the rug until an insider opens up about them. In a similar way, director Prahlad Kakkar, in a blasting interview, revealed a ‘serious affair’ of Priyanka Chopra which she kept a secret. While Kakkar did not reveal the name, Bollywood lovers and industry people have long speculated about the steamy rumored connection with Shah Rukh Khan, especially following their films Don (2006) and Don 2 (2011).
During an interview with Vickey Lalwani, Kakkar praised Priyanka and called her a ‘doll.’ He even said that PC is a great person to work with as she is highly ambitious and extremely focused. Kakkar said, “She has a certain sense of dignity which she will not allow people to enter. So, this whole so-called affair, she never made a comment on it. Everybody else was commenting. She never said anything.”
He added, “She held her dignity. And if it was a frivolous relationship, she would have laughed. Obviously, it was serious. So, it was very personal to her. She didn’t want it to be written about, she didn’t want it to be talked about.”
The entire rumored affair between Priyanka and Shah Rukh Khan started when the two were working on the film Don. Their undeniable chemistry was loved by the audience. Their camaraderie was well enjoyed, and gradually, the rumors of the two being romantically involved spread like wildfire.
Soon, when Priyanka and Shah Rukh Khan’s rumored affair news reached the ears of the latter actor’s wife, Gauri Khan, she decided to bar her husband from sharing the screen with Priyanka.
Eventually, PC and SRK’s further collaborations came to a halt, and the two barely spoke to each other. However, even during those days, both preferred to remain silent and never uttered a word about the rumors.
In 2018, Priyanka Chopra married American singer Nick Jonas, and now the two share a beautiful baby girl.
