The highly anticipated trailer for Pushpa 2: The Rule was released on Sunday, November 17, and it has smashed records within just 24 hours. Directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, the trailer took YouTube by storm, living up to the immense buzz surrounding the film. Fans eagerly lapped up the glimpse of the action-packed drama, launching it into record-breaking territory. Pushpa 2 trailer amassed a staggering 102 million views across all languages on YouTube within 24 hours, making it the third Indian movie trailer to cross the 100-million mark in a day.
This puts Pushpa 2 ahead of Prabhas’ Adipurush (74 million views) with 37.83% more views. It now stands just behind Salaar (113.2 million views) and KGF Chapter 2 (106.5 million views) in the list of most-viewed Indian trailers. The film, set to release on December 5, promises to be a blockbuster this holiday season.
Out of all languages, the Hindi trailer generated the most views, with 49 million views in 24 hours. It is followed by the Telugu trailer, with 44 million views. The Tamil trailer generated 5.2 million views, followed by 1.9 million views each for the Kannada and Malayalam trailers.
In Hindi, Pushpa 2 became the 7th most-watched trailer. It has beaten the views of KGF: Chapter 2 which generated 49 million views in the first 24 hours in Hindi on YouTube. Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki trailer remains on top with 58.50 million views.
In Telugu, Pushpa 2 has beaten Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram which scored 37.70 million views. Pushpa 2 Telugu trailer views are also the highest for a South Indian language trailer as Guntur Kaaram was previously the number 1 on this list.
Directed by Sukumar, and produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2 is the second part of 2021’s superhit movie Pushpa – The Rise. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, among others, Pushpa 2 is scheduled to be released on December 5, 2024, in multiple languages.
