R… Rajkumar music review: Interestingly charming

The soundtrack of R... Rajkumar is fun and highly charming!

R… Rajkumar is an upcoming Bollywood action film directed by Prabhu Deva and written by Shiraz Ahmed, starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha. The soundtrack of this film consists of seven songs, with the last two being remixes. The album is composed by Pritam and it is believed that Prabhu Deva was very keen to work with him.

The first song of the album- Gandi Baat is a very catchy track and is sung by Mika and Kalpana Katowary. Kalpana sings in a very raunchy manner which certainly suits the feel of the song. It will definitely turn out as the action film’s biggest hit.

Saree Ke fall sa is an interesting and charming song. The blend of certain English words in the song gives it a very alluring feel. The song makes you chuckle at times with the play of words in both languages as it flows in a very melodious manner. Considering the name of the song, I did not expect it to turn out anything this admirable. Great work by new singer Nakash Aziz in this piece.

Dhokha dhadi begins beautifully with a violin and acoustic guitar playing, making it the only romantic song in the album. Arijit Singh’s clear vocals go terrifically well with the lovely music also accompanied by an accordion in the middle.

Kunal Ganjawala makes a return after a long while in Mat maari, which is a clever and catchy number. It is a fast paced song and is one of the better songs of today that are accompanied by electronic arrangements. The fifth track- Kaddu katega is more of a Prabhu Deva song as it is quite fast making it a good song if used right with dance moves. Otherwise the song doesn’t bode too well. It’s kind of boring in spite of its high tempo. The last two remixes are redundant in all aspects. They don’t even feel like remixes to be honest. Very drab remixes.
