Sunny Leone fans are waiting for the release of the much anticipated item number Laila Main Laila from Raees. The song releases today and fans on Twitter have been trending hashtags like #LailaAaRaheeHai #Laila21Dec since yesterday. One look at the tweets that have been flowing in under these trends and you’ll think that these fans have had a sleepless night waiting for Sunny Leone’s song. There are also several tweets that are waiting to see the song and then compare it to Urvashi Rautela’s Kaabil song Haseeno Ka Deewana. Funnily, some fans have already given their verdict in favour of Sunny Leone.
Comparisons are bound to happen. Both Sunny and Urvashi are the hottest item girls in Bollywood today. Their item songs – Laila Main Laila from Raees and Haseeno Ka Deewana from Kaabil are both reprised versions of yesteryear cult songs. This just adds to the interest fans already have anticipating and predicting the results of the big Raees vs Kaabil clash when the two films release on January 25, 2017.
However, choreographer Bosco Martis, who has choreographed the song Laila Main Laila from Raees says that there should be no comparisons between the song and the one in Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil. Talking exclusively to India.com ahead of the video release of the song Laila Main Laila, Bosco revealed, “Urvashi Rautela showed me the song at a recent award function and it is a great song. But I don’t understand why the two songs are being compared. They are totally different.” The ace hot stepper also shared that while the two take inspiration from yesteryear songs Laila O Laila from Qurbaani and Sara Zamana from Yaarana (Haseeno Ka Deewana), the way they have been reprised is completely different. “Haseeno Ka Deewana from Kaabil has a new age feel to it. It has a woman dancing to the song and it is also sung by a female singer as opposed to the original that was filmed on Amitabh Bachchan and sung by Kishore Kumar. While the song Laila Main Laila from Raees has a complete 80s feel to it. It will take you back in time,” Bosco said further adding that Haseeno Ka Deewana is more like a dance song, while Laila Main Laila is a performance oriented song set in a club and it will also see some amazing action from Shah Rukh Khan.
He also highlighted that apart from not being compared to each other, the songs should also not be compared to the original classics. “One was filmed on Zeenat Aman and the other on Amitabh Bachchan. Both are hugely popular cult tracks. You can’t change it, you can’t match it! The version you make will be and has to be different! How can there be any comparisons?” he questions! The choreographer who has made superstars like Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aamir Khan, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and many more to match steps with him was also awed by Sunny Leone. Now we all know that Sunny wasn’t a great dancer when she started but she has come a long way ever since her Baby Doll number that took the nation by storm. But Bosco is sure Sunny Leone in Laila Main Laila from Raees will impress. “Sunny is extremely hardworking and sincere. She puts her heart into work. She has given her best in the song Laila Main Laila. The audience has loved her earlier, this time that love will grow a little more.”
