Box office collection figures for day of Ajay Devgn, Illeana D’Cruz starrer Raid are here and they are as expected. After all, when you have great reviews, complemented by a decent footfalls on the first day and a strong word of m mouth going around for your film, you can only expect it to be unstoppable. The crime thriller based on a true incident of the longest Income Tax raid in the history of India, has shown a tremendous growth on day 2 of its release on Mach 16.
After earning Rs 10.04 crore at the box office on the opening day on Friday, Raid has made another Rs 13.86 crore on the second day, taking the total to Rs 23.90 crore and a growth of almost 38.04 per cent. But this is just the beginning if you look at trade analyst and senior film critic Taran Adarsh’s views. He further predicted that the business on Sunday will be “Super-Strong” as well. It is not every Friday that we have a film release that has most of the film critics unanimously saying good words for it. But that has been a case with Ajay Devgn’s Raid where movie reviews talked about the actor’s intense performance, dialogue-baazi, fast paced, intriguing story, which all worked to make Raid worth a watch.
