After the first song, Sanu Ek Pal Chain Na Ave, released last week in time for Valentine’s Day, the makers of Raid have unveiled the second song, which is a recreated version of the iconic track, Nit Khair Manga. Ajay Devgn and Ileana D’Cruz are seen creating magic with their chemistry in this song as well and to say that the song is already winning hearts won’t be a gross exaggeration. This one, like Sanu Ek Pal and Baadshaho’s Rashke Qamae, is a Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan track, which has been recreated by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Tanishk Bagchi, keeping most of the lyrics, music and some original vocals the same.
In Raid, Ajay and Ileana play a married couple and the song shows the love and warmth they share with each other. This Sufi love song is meaningful and soulful and is the love anthem all lovers had been waiting for. The lyrics are relatable to every couple that’s truly madly in love. It will strike a chord with everyone who wishes for the well being of their special someone. Ajay took to his Twitter account, a while ago, to drop the song on us. Raid is based on a famous income tax raid that took place in Uttar Pradesh. While Devgn has played a uniformed torchbearer on screen several times in the past, courtesy films like Zameer, Singham series, Sunday, Gangaajal, LOC Kargil, Major Saab and the list goes on, this will be the first time we will see him as Amay Patnaik- Deputy Commisioner of Income Tax, Lucknow—-a hero but without a uniform. Helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who is known for making content-driven films with a bit of realism to it such as Aamir and No One Killed Jessica, Raid seems to follow the same kind of genre. The trailer grabbed a lot of eyeballs when it was out and needless to say, fans are awaiting the release of the film with bated breath. The movie, that went on floors in September last year, is slated to hit screens on March 16, 2018.
