But the memories of the disputes in the house faded with time. When my mother came to know about his extra marital affair with Sangam co-star Vyjayanthimala, the matter got worse. There was a lot of fight between mummy and papa. This time Mother was not ready to step back and she left the house with me. For some time we stayed in a hotel and later we had a flat in Chitrakoot and then started living there. When papa realized his mistake, then things got sorted out (sic).”
Through Rishi Kapoor’s biography, many came to know the reason behind the intense argument that Raj Kapoor had with his wife Krishna. Rishi shared further details about his father’s equation with Vyjayanthimala which disrupted his family on multiple occasions.
Being a successful director and an actor, Raj Kapoor also had an extra-marital affair with his co-star, not Vvyjayanthimala, but it was Nargis. When the two were reportedly seeing each other, they often made the headlines. However, their affair came to an end when Nargis held hands with Sunil Dutt.
Raj Kapoor and Krishna married in 1946 and their relationship came to an end after Raj passed away in 1988. The couple had 5 children, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor Ritu Nanda, and Rima Kapoor.
