Krishna Raj Kapoor Passes Away at The Age of 87 in Mumbai. She had been complaining of breathlessness.

Krishna Raj Kapoor, who was late Raj Kapoor’s wife and mother of Randhir Kapoor, Ritu Kapoor Nanda, Rishi Kapoor, Rima Kapoor Jain and Rajiv Kapoor, passed away today, October 1 at 4 am at the age of 87. She had been complaining of breathlessness over the past couple of years. Krishna Raj was the eldest member of the Kapoor family.

Raveena Tandon shared the news on Twitter and wrote, “Condolences to the entire Kapoor family. An era passes away,#KrishnaRajKapoor .God give you strength,and may the soul rest in peace. Om Shanti. @chintskap”

Anupam Kher also took to Twitter to announce the sad news. He shared pictures and wrote, “Deeply saddened to learn about the sad demise of Smt. #KrishnaRajKapoorJi. She was one of the most dignified and affectionate ladies that I met. May her soul rest in peace. My condolences to the entire Kapoor and Nanda family. Om Shanti.”

Krishna Raj Kapoor was known to be a woman of great stature and courage. After Raj Kapoor’s death in 1988, she held the entire family together and was solely responsible for her 5 kids.
