After many months of speculations about the growing closeness between Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru, the duo finally tied the knot on December 1 at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore in an intimate ceremony. While fans celebrated Samantha’s new beginning, another wave of chatter rose in parallelly, questioning Raj’s past, his ex-wife, and how she felt watching these new milestones unfold.

Soon after the wedding, social media was buzzing with assumptions about whether Raj was still legally connected to his former partner, Shyyamali De. Though neither Samantha nor Raj addressed the rumours, Shyamali penned a note on social media and opened up about her internal struggle.

She began by thanking everyone for the kindness coming her way, writing, “Thank you for all the kindness, the good wishes, the warm words, and all the blessings.” She further added, “I spent a sleepless night, tossing and turning and debating, and realised it would be ungrateful and churlish to not acknowledge all the good that is coming to me.”

Shyyamali further explained that she has been dealing with the sudden attention privately, without professional help or PR. She wrote, “I have no team, no PR, no staff or associates managing my page. I am personally responding while dealing with something that needs my full presence.”

Speaking about how she is grounding herself emotionally, she said, “I have been practising Meditation on Twin Hearts for many years now. Doing the meditation involves blessing Mother Earth and all persons and beings with peace, love, forgiveness, hope, light, joy, loving-kindness, goodwill, and the will to do good.”

Before Raj and Samantha’s union, Raj was married to Shhyamali in 2015. The two tied the knot in 2015.  Although the exact date of when the couple separated or divorced remains unknown, reports suggest that they had split in 2022. However, Shhyamali had posted about Raj as late as 2023.

In 2024, rumours began circulating that Raj was dating his The Family Man Season 2 and Citadel: Honey Bunny star, Samantha. The couple made their relationship official on December 1 with a Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha ceremony at Isha Foundation in Coimbatore
