Rajinikanth starrer Annaatthe is all set to release on November 4, 2021. The makers of the film took to Twitter to make the big announcement. It will be interesting to watch Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe clashing at the box office during Diwali 2021 weekend with Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu that is expected to release on November 5. Both the films are much-awaited movies to be released this year featuring two big superstars. The films are expected to do well at the box office but what’s interesting is which film will do better at the box office. Meanwhile, Annaatthe has been in the news after Rajinikanth was hospitalised in Hyderabad following several fluctuations in blood pressure after four crew members of Rajinikanth’s film Annaatthe tested positive for COVID-19. However, the superstar tested negative for coronavirus. After which the shooting of the film was halted. The shoot began in Hyderabad and Rajinikanth had taken a chartered flight to Hyderabad along with his daughter Aishwarya Dhanush. Annaatthe is written and directed by Siva. The film also features Khushbu, Meena, Prakash Raj, Sathish and Soori. D Imman has been roped in to compose music for the project. As per the latest reports, Rajinikanth has decided to resume the shoot of the film from February 2021. Now, the makers have decided to erect a huge set in Chennai as it will be difficult for the superstar to travel to Hyderabad due to his health conditions.

Akshay’s Ram Setu will be directed by Abhishek Sharma, whose Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari was the first Bollywood to release in theatres since the lockdown. It is backed by Akshay’s production house.
