Randhir Kapoor turns 71 today.

Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor, the old guard of RK Films and father of two of Bollywood’s most successful heroines, Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, turns a year older today and the sisters had special plans for their father’s birthday; the evening was made grand. Kareena and Karisma hosted a grand birthday bash that saw the who’s who of Bollywood and the Kapoor of all ages in attendance. The party saw family members like Kareena, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma, Randhir’s wife Babita Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, and a few other young Kapoors too.

It was a joyous occasion in Kapoor household as Randhir Kapoor celebrated his 71st birthday on Friday (February 16, 2018). While Karisma was spotted with son Kiaan and daughter Samiera at the party, Kareena’s son Taimur Ali Khan was missing from the pictures. Speaking of Taimur’s popularity, Randhir, who is not really happy with the kind of media attention he receives at this tender age, said in a statement, “Certainly, it has been robbed. Every day, I get up in the morning and I see a picture of my grandson in newspapers. Now everyone recognizes his maid also! That’s because of the paparazzi.” To be honest, without the little munchkin, the family picture seems incomplete.

The sisters, who are known for grand celebrations. this occasion is no different. It was just like any other Kapoor clan celebrations, where it is all about family and love. Kapoors are known share a great camaraderie and these pictures are the proof. The duo, who threw a bash for their superstar daddy Randhir Kapoor on his birthday, stood by his side as he cut the cake. Awe! The birthday cake of the veteran actor had his grandchildren Taimur Ali Khan, Kiaan and Samaira Kapoor’s names pinned on the cake with cute things written on them, which read, ‘We Love You, Nana’. Earlier in the day, Karisma Kapoor took to her Instagram handle to share pictures of the grand celebrations and wishing the senior Kapoor. Sharing a perfect family picture, where mother Babita, sister Kareena, brother-in-law Saif Ali Khan and birthday boy Randhir are all smiles for the camera, the actress wrote, “Happy birthday papa 🎂🎉#weloveyou#birthdaywishes#ourpapa#familylove.” Aren’t the sisters the perfect example of ‘world’s best daughters’? It’s indeed true as Kareena and Karisma leave no stone unturned to make every milestone of their parent’s life a grand affair.

On the professional front, the actress is all set to return to the silver screen post pregnancy with Veere Di Wedding. Besides Kareena, the film also features Swara Bhaskar and is all set to release on June 1. Kareena is also in talks for several other Bollywood films, but the actress has not signed any yet.
