Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat (1997)

Rani Mukerji’s first Hindi cinema was the 1997 released movie ‘Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat’. It is said that she did this film because of her mother. Though the movie did not work well commercially, this dramatic film brought Rani in limelight. Her appearance in the film didn’t receive appreciation then.



Ghulam (1998)

The minute we speak of the Aamir Khan and Rani Mukerji starrer ‘Ghulam’, the one thing that comes to our mind is the song Aati Kya Khandala due to which Rani grabbed millions of eyeballs. In fact, her style in the film was the talk of the town then.

Post marriage with Aditya Chopra and birth of her daughter Adira, she played an aspiring teacher having Tourette syndrome in this film. Now, this was a very unconventional subject to make one’s comeback with, but Rani went ahead and delivered a great performance.

Mardaani 2 (2019)

Gopi Puthran’s directorial venture Mardaani 2, reprises her role as a police inspector Shivani Shivaji Roy, who vows to arrest a 21-year-old rapist, the antagonist played by TV actor Vishal Jethwa. The film received positive reviews from critics and the respective performances of both the actors have been appreciated by all.
