Making a film like Padmaavat hasn’t been easy. In fact it has been a challenge on multiple levels. Right from playing his life’s first negative character which is so dark it can mess with your head to the film courting continuous controversy right till the day of release. But the d-day is here and the reviews have started coming in as well. Amongst all the aspects of Padmaavat that are being appreciated, Ranveer Singh’s character of Alauddin Khilji has been garnering a lot of good word.

The actor is naturally overwhelmed. To share his feelings with his fans, he took to social media a few minutes ago to share a heartfelt post that will instantly have your heart. In his post, Ranveer says, “I am relieved and happy with the reactions to my performance. Thank you all for your kind and generous praise.” He went on to thank Bhansali who once again gave him a character for which he would be forever indebted. He also wished fans a happy Republic Day, inviting them into the theatres. “I am proud to be a part of a film that our whole country can be proud of,” he signed off, but not before wishing his TEAM PADMAAVAT high tens and monster hugs FTW! The Sanjay Leela Bhansali magnum opus starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in lead roles has already passed the box office test. The film is set for a bumper opening with 80 per cent shows booked in advance booking from opening day till Sunday. Add to this the positive reviews, which will only make the interest soar.
