Actor Rashami Desai might be one of the most sought after faces on Indian television but she didn’t have it all easy. In her latest interaction with an entertainment portal, she revealed her casting couch experience and how her mother gave her all the courage to deal with harassment in the industry. Rashami talked to Pinkvilla in her latest interview and mentioned an agent named Suraj who tried to get smart with her but was ultimately taught a lesson by her mother. The actor, who participated in Bigg Boss 13 with Sidharth Shukla, Asim Riaz, Shehnaaz Gill and Arti Singh among others, revealed that she was new in the industry and was not aware of a lot of jargons. She said Suraj asked her to come over for an audition and when she excitedly went there, she found out that he was alone. Rashami said the man tried hard to ‘spike her drink’ and get her unconscious and that incident left her brutally shocked. The actor added that she confided about the incident in her mother after coming out of his place and she set a great example for her. Rashami revealed that she managed to come out of Suraj’s place after two-and-a-half-hour and told everything to her mother. The actor’s mother called the man and asked him to meet her the next day at a restaurant. Rashami said her mother slapped him hard in public and asked him to stay away from her daughter. The Uttaran actor was quoted saying, “There were no cameras and he tried his level best to spike my drink and get me unconscious. I kept saying I don’t want to do. Somehow, he wanted to psyche my mind. From there, I managed to come out after two and a half hours and I told my mother everything.
