The coronavirus lockdown has restricted people from getting out of their homes but Doordarshan came as a saviour as it decided to re-run the old 90’s shows during the 21-day quarantine period. The first show to go on air was Ramayan, which was one of the most popular shows of that time. Now, a picture of veteran actor Arun Govil, who played the role of Ram, goes viral on social media. In the photo, he can be seen catching up with the show along with his grandchildren and their family members. Talking about the show being re-run, Arun told IANS, “The new generation will get a chance to watch it. They will get to understand the morals, teachings and values of Ramayan. If they will watch it with the family, they can interact also. If they have queries then their family members of the older generation can explain things. It is a family show. How relationships should be…has been shown in the show. Positivity is there. Right now there is a lockdown, you can’t go anywhere. So watching it will be a good way to use the time.” Also Read - 1 Ramayana, Many Movies: From Prabhas to Akshay Kumar - List of People Making Films on Lord Ram
