During the 60s and 80s in Bollywood, many films featured stories where the hero’s journey started from childhood. These movies often showed the hero facing poverty and hardships as a child, getting separated from family, and later returning as an adult to seek justice against those who took advantage of him. Films like Rajesh Khanna’s Roti and Amitabh Bachchan’s Parvarish, Suhag, Yarana, and Amar Akbar Anthony are classic examples.

In these stories, the child actors who portrayed the younger versions of these iconic heroes played a significant role and left a mark on that era. One such memorable child actor was Master Titu. He portrayed the young Rajesh Khanna in Roti and young Amitabh Bachchan in Amar Akbar Anthony. Titu also starred in the superhit film Aa Gale Lag Jaa alongside Shashi Kapoor, whom he affectionately called “uncle.” Titu was only 6 or 7 years old when he worked in this movie.

However, as he grew up, his popularity as an actor began to wane, and he transitioned into side roles, which did not bring him the same fame.
