In 2018, Priya Prakash Varrier took the internet by storm with her viral winking video and instantly became a national crush of India. Audiences were eager to know more about her and she became the most searched person on Google. Fast Forward seven years, this South Indian actress not only made her Bollywood debut, but is also gearing up for one of the Biggest Bollywood releases to date.
Priya was just 18 when she starred in Oru Adaar Love, a Malayalam film that released in 2019. In the film, she portrayed a schoolgirl, who is winking to her fellow classmate in a most adorable way. Her teaser clip from the film went viral and grabbed many likes and comments on social media. She became an overnight sensation after the release of the film in February that year. Her song Manikya Malaraya Poovi became a hit sensation and her portrayal of schoolgirl won the hearts of audiences. In fact, at that time, Priya’s fan following surpassed several Bollywood celebrities on social media.
Priya Prakash Varrier who came in limelight after her first Malayalam film, is now 25 years old. She is still a renowned figure on the Internet, boasting over 7 million followers on Instagram.
Apart from Malayalam film, Priya has also starred in other projects like 4 Years, Ishq, Sridevi Bungalow, Check and Bro. This South Indian beauty also made her Bollywood debut in 2024 with Yaariyaan 2. Meanwhile, Priya will be next seen in Ranbir Kapoor’s highly-anticipated epic drama Ramayana. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film also stars Sai Pallavi and will be released in 2 parts. Apart from that, the actress also has Kannada film Vishnu Priya, all set to release in theatres on February 21, 2025.
