Multi-talented actress Richa Chadha is leaving no stone unturned to perfect her role in the biopic on south Indian glamour actress Shakeela. Richa plays the titular role in the movie, directed by Indrajit Lankesk, and she is working on her belly dancing skills for a special promotional song for it. She is training under the guidance of Mumbai-based belly dancing instructor Shaina Lebana. Also Read - RIP Soumitra Chatterjee: Manoj Bajpayee, Richa Chadha And Others Tweet to Say 'End of an Era'

Richa, who apart from acting also does a bit of singing, has been taking lessons from Shaina for the past three weeks and will be training for some more weeks to perfect her belly dance. “The song that I’m learning belly dancing for will be a part of the promotions of the film. I have always loved learning newer forms of dance. Belly dancing is not only very attractive and graceful but is also a very tough dance form to learn and adapt,” IANS quoted Richa as saying in a statement. This is not the first time Richa has attempted the dance form. She used to take belly dance tutorials three years ago. Regarding the film, she said that she is excited to be doing it.

It appears the actress does not shy away from trying out new things either, as earlier this month she made her debut as a singer with Punjabi track Gwandian from Dr. Zeus’ album Global Injection. The actress called the incident that led her to take up the mike as a ‘happy accident’.

“It was a happy accident at best. I met with some friends and they were looking for a vocalist. I hummed and they asked me to record it. We were done with the whole thing in about 5 hours,” Richa told IANS.

The song features the dynamic duo Dr. Zeus and Zora Randhawa and Richa Chadha with her Fukrey co-star Varun Sharma.

Richa, who is not opposed to the idea of singing for a film, said that if anyone wants to collaborate with her on a song, she is more than happy to do so.
