Rishi Kapoor has played romantic hero in almost 92 films. The veteran actor won millions of hearts with his acting chops and mesmerising looks. Moreover his on-screening paring with most of the 90s actresses never failed to captivate audience. Unfortunately, out of many, one actress couldn’t be a super-hit jodi with him at the box office. Infact, the late actor felt so bad about his dud films with her that he once apologized to the actress on social media.

We are talking about the ‘dhak-dhak’ girl of Bollywood Madhuri Dixit. Yes, Rishi Kapoor and the dancing diva collaborated together in three films, namely Sahibaan, Yaarana and Prem Granth. Unfortunately, all three failed to succeed at the box office.

Realising that he failed to give an hit with Madhuri, Rishi took to his twitter (presently called X) account and apologised to the actress. The actor wrote, “Confession. The only co star(tried thrice)with whom I did not make a successful film.And what a co star! Sorry Madhuri!”

Well, out of three films, Prem Granth was produced under RK Banner. It gave Madhuri the opportunity of being the legendary Raj Kapoor’s heroine. Well, Madhuri is the only actress so far that has worked with Rishi Kapoor and his son Ranbir Kapoor both. She did a superhit song with Ranbir called Ghagra in Ayan Mukerji’s directorial Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The film was a blockbuster and also starred Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin in prominent roles.

Well, we are still unaware whether Madhuri Dixit has read Rishi Kapoor’s sad confession yet. But whenever she does, it will touch her heart no bound, like it did for us.
