Rising Star 11 March 2017 full episode review: Bannet beats Sukhdeep after a tie; Diljit Dosanjh upset with results!

In the 10th episode of the popular show, Colors Rising Star- Duels Ki Takkar, Rubina Dilaik of serial Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki fame is outside the house of a lucky voter, who is going be the fourth judge. Rubina Dilaik enters Ajmera’s house and Ami Ajmera is that lucky voter who would vote live during the episode and be the fourth judge of the show.

First up are Ankita and little Deblina. Ankita has sung for a lot of movies and that is why she is a tough competition for Debline, who performs first. Deblina sings legendary Asha Bhonsle’s  ‘O Mere Sona Re’. Diljit gives his vote to Deblina, followed by Shankar Mahdevan and Monali Thakur. Debline’s voting closes at 90 per cent. Ankita comes next and she has to score more  than 90 to raise the wall. Monali wishes her luck. She understands it pretty well that her performance has to be a notch up. Ankita sings Shreya Ghoshal’s ‘Mohe Rang Do Laal’ and within a few seconds gets Shankar Mahadevan’s vote. Monali and Diljit’s votes follow next. At the end of her performance, Shankar and Monali give her a standing ovation, and she gets 92 per cent votes. She gets through to the final 16!

Next up are Sayani and Maithili and both are brilliant singers in their own right. They both are trained classical singers and in the AV clip Monali confesses that one of them going back from the show would be a loss for the show itself. During their auditions round, both Sayani and Maithili had received above 90 per cent votes.  (WATCH: Rising Stars 11 March 2017 Watch Full Episode Online in HD)

Maithili attempts ‘Kesariya Balma Padharo Mare Des’ and scores 93 per cent by the end of her hair-raising performance. Sayani comes on stage and has a target of 93 per cent in front of her. Before, Sayani starts singing, Shankar Mahadevan excuses himself for a minute and tells everyone that whoever loses between Sayani and Maithili, he would record a song with that person. Sayani performs ‘Aaoge Jab Tum’ and her rendition is absolutely mesmerizing, but falls short from 9 per cent votes, scoring 84 per cent. Maithili is in final 16 and Sayani would record s a song with Shankar Mahadevan.

Shreyasi and Ayesha-Abhipsha are up next.  Shreyasi sings ‘Aami je Tumaar’. Shreyasi receives 84 per cent votes as well as Shankar Mahadev and Diljit’s votes, Monali is a bit unimpressed by her performance. Ayesha-Abhipsha attempt ‘More Piya’ and a Raag-based song but their voting stops at 72 per cent. Shreyasi goes ahead while Ayesha-Abhipsha have to leave the show.

Bannet Dosanjh and Sukhdeep from Punjab are to perform next. Sukhdeep performs ‘Tu Maane Ya Na Maane’ and floors Shankar Mahadevan at the start itself. The studio audience as well as the experts are standing by the end of his performance as he scores 92 per cent votes. Bannet has to breach the target of 92 per cent to reach the final 16. Bannet sings ‘Ramta Jogi’. Within seconds, he receives Shankar Mahadevan’s and Diljit’s votes. By the end of his performance, WOAH! It is a tie. Bannet scores 92 per cent! But according to the rules, the votes are counted in the decimals and Bannet goes ahead.
