This weekend the Duels Ki Takkar would see tougher competition and some brilliant singing on Colors TV show, Rising Star. After the last week’s ‘takkars’, Ameya, Vikramjeet, Diljot Qawwali group, Chelsi, Jidnesh, Ragdeep group, Nikita and Afsana have already entered the final 16. In tonight’s episode, more contestants and groups fight. Sayani, Maithili, Ankita, Sheuli, Bannet Dosanjh, Sukhdeep and many more contestants are lined up for the Duels Ki Takkar. Last week’s episodes saw some brilliant singing, hard-to-believe ousters and at one point Shankar Mahadevan, Monali Thakur and Diljit Dosanjh were heartbroken when Anmol got ousted by a margin of 2 per cent votes. Anmol’s rendition of Sukhwinder Singh’s ‘Rut Agayi Re’ was so outstanding that Shankar Mahadevan was impressed. But Nikita, who was competing with him had already received 92 per cent votes. But respecting the rules of the show and going by them, Nikita qualifies for the next round and Anmol leaves. Anushka Sharma came to promote her upcoming movie, Philauri, with her co-star Diljit Dosanjh, who is the expert on the show. Earlier as well, during the auditions, the rules of the show were made strict and Jidnesh and Deepesh, who sang really well had to leave the show because they could not score 90 per cent. But both were called back as a surprise wildcard entry for the Duels Ki Takkar, and this time Jidnesh went ahead with his beautiful classical rendition of ‘Laga Chunari Mein Daag’. Deepesh could not keep up and loses to Jidnesh. He doesn’t even gets judges’ votes. Shraddha and Ramesh also disappointed the judges and Ragdeep group clears the round. In tonight’s episode as the contestants compete and try to qualify for the final 16, experts and audience again have a tough time choosing the better one. All the singers perform really well barring a few who cannot keep up with the tough standards of the competition. Sometimes it is the choice of song and sometimes it’s the overall composition that brings down the performance levels.
