Colors TV’s reality show Rising Stars has reached its 9th episode and the show is getting more and more interesting. The auditions are over. All the contestants and the groups have been selected by live voting and judges’ votes. In tonight’s episode of ‘Duels Ki Takkar– Contestants Ka Aamna Saamna’, the selected contestants and groups fight it out and enthral the audience and judges. We saw in earlier episodes, how some of the talented contestants couldn’t make to the next round due to tough competition. This ‘hatke’ singing reality show, with its live audience voting concept, has tough standards and its seasoned judges, Monali Thakur, Dilijit Dosanjh and Shankar Mahadevan are honest with their opinions. In the last episode, only Sayani Palit from Kolkata and Dhamendra Nayat from Jaipur could qualify for the next round as they floored judges with their outstanding performances. The bar had already been raised and no one could qualify to the next round with less than 90 per cent votes, combining both judges’ and audience votes. The contestants found it tough in the previous rounds itself to breach the 90 per cent mark and some good ones even got disqualified for not being able to garner that much votes and had to leave the show disappointed. In tonight’s episode of ‘Duels Ki Takkar–Contestants Ka Aamna Saamna’, Shraddha and Ramesh are on one side and Ragdeep group on the other fight it out. Also, Nitin and Ishrat are pitched against each other. It would be difficult for the judges as well as the audiences to choose one out of two opponents. Ishrat and Nitin both come from less privileged backgrounds and have had a hard life and they take the challenge in their stride.
Shraddha sings as Ramesh plays dholak. Shankar Mahadevan is quite impressed with Shraddha and Ramesh’s performance and commends them. He tells them that the wall was raised only due to their collective effort. Shankar Mahadevan is completely floored by Nitin’s singing and tells him that he wants to enrol him in his academy free of cost. Nitin is touched by Mahadevan’s gesture.
