Shaan R Grover, who recently earned widespread recognition for his striking performance in Aneet Padda, Ahaan Panday’s blockbuster Saiyaara, is quickly emerging as one of the most promising young talents to watch. Before his acting breakthrough, Shaan worked as an assistant director on Sanam Teri Kasam and received professional acting training under renowned casting director Shanoo Sharma, an experience that helped shape his craft.
He later went on to appear in projects like Nobleman, Roohaniyat, Leaked, and Dus June Ki Raat, steadily building his filmography. Adding to his rising popularity, Shaan recently featured in the music videos Sirf Tum Hi and Mohtarma, both of which earned immense praise for his expressive screen presence and emotional depth, further cementing his growing fanbase and industry buzz.
During an interview with India.com, Shaan was asked whether, since he had previously worked as an assistant director on the Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane–starrer Sanam Teri Kasam, he would be interested in being part of the newly announced sequel, to which Shaan replied, “Sach bolu toh mere ko itna kuch nahi hai, kehte hai naa ki mera kuch bahut mann nahi hai, aur shayad Pehle bhi maine interview mein kaha tha and I’ll stick to that, I don’t mind, I would love to be a part of Sanam Teri Kasam 2 and Harsh bhai is a younger brother, and Harsh and my bond is like that, so if they can cook up something like that jaise purane zamane mein Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor jaise theme hoti thi jaise he’s the angry young man and I am funny, jolly brother toh usme maza aayega like Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, Saiyaara and Sanam Teri Kasam all combined together.” (To be honest, I don’t really have too many demands. You know how people say, my heart isn’t set on anything specific, that’s exactly how it is for me. I think I’ve mentioned this in an interview before, and I’ll stick to it: I genuinely don’t mind. I would absolutely love to be a part of Sanam Teri Kasam 2.)
(Harsh bhai is like a younger brother to me, and that’s the bond we share. So if they can create something like the old-school vibe, like the Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor era, where he’s the intense, angry young man and I’m the fun, jolly brother, then it would be amazing. Something that mixes the essence of Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, Saiyaara, and Sanam Teri Kasam together. That would honestly be a lot of fun.)
This interview sheds light on Shaan R Grover’s journey from assistant director to emerging actor, while also highlighting his admiration for Sanam Teri Kasam and his bond with Harshvardhan Rane.
